Terms and Conditions

Effective from 1 July 2026

These terms apply to all retreats, events, ceremonies, workshops, courses and other services organised by Áilo Heritage Oy, unless otherwise stated for a specific event.

1. Booking

Your booking becomes binding once your registration and payment (or agreed deposit) have been received.

Please read the event description and these terms carefully before making your reservation.

2. Participation

Participation in all Áilo Heritage retreats, ceremonies, workshops and events is entirely voluntary.

Each participant is responsible for ensuring that they are physically, mentally and emotionally able to participate safely.

If you are pregnant, have a medical condition, injury, severe allergy or any other health concern that may affect your participation, we encourage you to consult your healthcare professional before attending.

Participants are expected to inform Áilo Heritage Oy of any relevant health conditions that may affect the safety of their participation. All personal health information will be treated confidentially.

3. Health Disclaimer

Áilo Heritage offers wellbeing experiences designed to support rest, self-awareness, connection and personal growth.

Our retreats, ceremonies and workshops are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any physical or mental health condition, nor are they a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric care.

Our facilitators offer guidance within the scope of their own education, training and experience.

4. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Some of our retreats and events include activities such as breathwork, movement, meditation, sauna, swimming, hiking, forest walks and other embodied practices.

By participating, you acknowledge that these activities involve inherent risks and that you choose to participate voluntarily and at your own discretion.

You remain responsible for listening to your own body and adjusting your participation whenever necessary.

Áilo Heritage Oy is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. However, participants attend all activities at their own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Áilo Heritage Oy is not liable for personal injury, illness, accidents, loss of personal belongings or indirect financial losses arising from participation in our services.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.

5. Insurance

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accident, travel and cancellation insurance where appropriate.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all international retreats.

6. Cancellation by the Participant

Please note that Áilo Heritage retreats, events and workshops are leisure services provided on specific dates.

For this reason, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer legislation generally does not apply to these bookings.

The following cancellation policy applies instead.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to:

ailo@ailovalo.com

A cancellation becomes effective once it has been received by Áilo Heritage Oy.

Cancellation Policy

Your booking is personal and becomes binding once your reservation has been confirmed.

If you are unable to attend the retreat, the participation fee paid to Áilo Heritage Oy is non-refundable.

However, you are welcome to transfer your place to another participant at no additional cost. Please notify Áilo Heritage Oy of the new participant’s details no later than 48 hours before the retreat begins.

If Áilo Heritage Oy is required to cancel the retreat, all payments made directly to Áilo Heritage Oy will be refunded in full.

For retreats where accommodation and meals are provided by an external venue, any payments made directly to the venue are subject to the venue’s own booking and cancellation policies.

Participation fees cannot be transferred to another retreat or event unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Cancellation or Changes by Áilo Heritage Oy

Áilo Heritage Oy reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event due to force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, serious illness of the facilitator or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Events may also be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

In such cases, all payments made directly to Áilo Heritage Oy will be refunded in full.

Áilo Heritage Oy is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants, including travel, accommodation, visa or insurance costs.

8. Event-Specific Terms

Certain retreats or events may have additional booking conditions due to international facilitators, accommodation providers or special arrangements.

Any such conditions will always be clearly stated on the event page or in the booking confirmation.

9. Gift Cards & Booking Credits

Gift cards are valid for one year unless otherwise stated.

Any agreed booking credits or transfers remain valid for one year from the date of the original agreement.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.

Any disputes shall first be resolved through good faith negotiations between the parties.

If no agreement can be reached, the matter shall be settled by the competent courts of Finland.

11. Changes to These Terms

Áilo Heritage Oy reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions when necessary.

The version published on our website at the time of booking shall apply.
